Tired after a week of work? Chopin knew this feeling perfectly well. My bustle, he said affectionately, though with a sneer, about his daily duties in Paris. He also knew that nothing was as relaxing as dancing, and when necessary, he was able to start the party, as evidenced by the note sent to his friend: Come alone – the composer persuades – and bring me a Hungarian by force in the evening. Freppa will sing and maybe we’ll jump. In his youth, Chopin had the opportunity to dance folk dances and improvise with country musicians. He rumbled so much that they all came to look – he reported to his parents. Inspired by the way the composer spent his free time, we invite you to our concert. The Janusz Prusinowski Kompania ensemble, one of the most outstanding ensembles performing Polish traditional music, and Aleksander Dębicz – a pianist of the young generation, will help us understand and hear the phenomenon of stylization of folk music in the work of Fryderyk Chopin. So let’s leave work at work and meet up to dance and listen to the music that gives a respite from the everyday mill.
