The project “Dance Paths – Baltic Net„ grows from the close relationship of traditional music of Poland and Scandinavian countries, where national dances are different „polska” varieties. We organise music and dance workshops, concerts and dance parties at educational centers of Sweden, Norway, Finland and Estonia, and thus enliven the musical exchange around the Baltic Sea and inspire professors and students. We hope that mazurkas, obereks, kujawiaks and vivats become, natural elements of musical practice in Scandinavia, while „polska” came to the Polish Dance Houses.
We will realise this idea sending two experienced bands of Polish traditional music (Janusz Prusinowski Kompania & Kapela Niwińskich) who – in cooperation with local partners – will conduct several events at music colleges and in popular dance clubs.
